What it feels like.
Fear comes in all three parts of the face, forehead, eyes, mouth.
The eyebrows are raised and placed in nearly horizontal line (as opposed to where they are surprised bent upwards), the interior angles are toward the center and horizontal forehead lines are formed only in the center (unlike the surprise where the horizontal lines across the forehead). The eyes open because both the upper eyelids eyebrows go up, but is not the same effect as "wide open" as in surprise as they are in tension and tend to get the lower eyelids. The mouth can open as in surprise, but instead of being relaxed, present tension in the lips are stretched out.
